How We Began
Spending 10 years in Africa on mission taught us a few things about spiritual warfare: one, there was far more going on in the spiritual realm than we realized, and secondly, we weren’t as prepared as we needed to be to battle against the enemy. We not only saw it day to day in ministry as we trained indigenous leaders and worked alongside village churches, but we saw it when we returned on furlough back in the United States.
Like many in the West we grew up with this dichotomy between the spiritual and physical as if the two were separate and unrelated. However, in Africa no one had that idea. Everything that happened physically was tied to the spiritual. No one even questioned it. Their focus was on the solution of how to navigate it. And those that came to Christ experienced radical freedom and deliverance from torment, the traditions of their ancestors, and even the curse of death.
Back in the States as we spent time with churches, we noticed something that had become unfamiliar to us – believers would come into church carrying huge burdens and brokenness and leave in the same condition. In the land where there is an abundance of everything, how was that possible?
As we transitioned to life in the United States once again, we got more involved in inner healing prayer and deliverance through working with survivors of human trafficking. We saw firsthand how necessary and effective it is to deal with the spiritual roots of the things that hinder our relationship with God and torment us. Through this exposure, God introduced us to Matt and Lilibeth Kindle who have been doing prayer and deliverance ministry for more than a decade. They encouraged us, trained us, to become prayer ministers too.
Over the last few years, as we grew closer to the Kindles, God called us to join our forces in partnership together so that more people can experience the Heart of Heaven. Matt and Lilibeth bring an incredible package of ministry gifts to the table, and we are honored to share our lives and service together. Heart of Heaven Ministries is more than just prayer and deliverance ministry. It also includes healing arts and worship, seminars and trainings, aviation rescue and transport, and networking and collaborating with others. We are mobile and ready to go anywhere the Lord calls, stateside or overseas, to anyone the Lord introduces, to minister and to train, as together we magnify the Heart of Heaven!
